The site is located within the Green Belt to the north west of Edenfield and has been identified as part of a wider Housing Allocation for 400 homes in the draft Rossendale Local Plan. Hive represented Anwyl Land in the Examination in Public held in September/October 2019 and are hopeful that the Plan will be adopted by the end of 2020.
The site being promoted is in itself capable of delivering 90-100 homes and Hive have liaised closely with the other developers that also form part of the wider Housing Allocation – Taylor Wimpey and Peel. Communication between the various interested parties and the Council has therefore been key and demonstrates the Hive team’s ability to work in a positive and collaborative way.
