Simon is a chartered town planner with a broad range of experience over more than 20 years in the planning consultancy sector, having worked previously at design-led, multi-disciplinary and agency-led practices.
Simon’s experience ranges from feasibility assessments through to Local Plan representations, co-ordination of major development proposals and achieving outline and full/reserved matters planning permissions. He has also led multidisciplinary teams to prepare Development Frameworks, Masterplans and regeneration strategies and helped achieve detailed listed building consents for complex refurbishment schemes for listed buildings.
Key projects prior to joining to Hive have included coordinating the technical team for a 4,500 home proposed new settlement in Huntingdonshire, acting as lead planner for SEGRO’s 300,000 sqm strategic rail freight interchange at Radlett, helping High Peak Council secure Future High Street funding for Buxton Town Centre, and achieving outline permission for several significant Homes England residential sites in the northwest.
