The Garden Towns and Village programme is arguably the most exciting proposition for planning and development in many years, offering local authorities, landowners and developers the prospect to plan and deliver in a new and innovative way. Garden Towns and Villages by their nature also present a unique set of challenges, requiring tailored solutions to address potential issues around quality place making, accelerated delivery, viability, infrastructure, land assembly and long-term stewardship. This presents particular demands on resources and, in some instances, expertise.
Hive offer a flexible solution to these challenges, and set out below we have project examples of our Garden Town and Garden Village expertise, where we are providing a range of advice from establishing governance frameworks, landowner engagement, delivery strategies and successfully securing infrastructure funding to unlock sites. Hive’s unique offer in this area is also grounded in the fact that, prior to establishing Hive, founding Directors Stuart Sage and Mark Vaughan worked at Homes England, with Stuart leading the Garden Village programme in the North West.
Here's some examples of our recent work on Garden Towns and Villages.
