Alternative version:

We’re a team of growth and regeneration experts advising on town planning, development surveying and socio-economics. Working across urban regeneration projects, greenfield sites and new settlements, we offer practical advice, grounded in reality and focused on building deliverable proposals.

We’re not your average consultancy.

Born out of first-hand public sector experience within Homes England, our founders Stuart and Mark could see an obvious communication gap between private sector developers and those promoting development from within public sector bodies.

Hive Land & Planning was set up in 2018 to be the keystone bridging that gap, and the team hasn’t looked back since.

The sector’s biggest problem…

What’s the planning and development sector’s toughest challenge?

Is it viability? Legislation and red tape? A lack of resources?

These are undeniably complex issues, and ones that we know well.

But the biggest problem is a communication gap between the public and private sectors.

Too often, objectives are misaligned.

Public sector bodies are grappling with limited personnel resources and competing demands on their time. Developers are faced with challenging realities driven by tough market conditions and complicated layers of regulation.  All parties must build bridges to nurture trust.

We speak your language

We can help you bridge that communication gap and turn potential into progress.

We believe in the power of public private partnership. We become an extension of your team, working collaboratively and fostering the cross-pollination of ideas in everything we do.

Our advice is grounded in reality and focuses on building deliverable proposals that address challenges head on.

You need more than a masterplan

Creating credible proposals needs more than an artistic masterplan.

It’s about taking the time to understand a place and the people who live and work there.

We get under the skin of a place to understand local socio-economic challenges and opportunities, and shape how development projects and regeneration investment can improve lives and address the country’s housing shortage.

Taking your vision, we roll up our sleeves and get to work removing barriers that hold back progress. Whether that’s through taking a market-facing approach to the deliverability of a long-term proposal, supporting good governance or advising on how best to navigate the planning landscape.

We listen hard, and bring stakeholders together with professional, no-holds-barred, commercial advice to build deliverable schemes.

Placemaking is a complex business, so we adapt to your needs – slotting into your team, taking the initiative and getting to work.
